The seminar «Transport research in the Murmansk region – 2012» was held on the 1st of March in Murmansk
The seminar was carried out under the project "Analysis of perspectives of coherent development of transport systems of Lapland and the Murmansk region". The contractor is Regional Council of Lapland. The seminar participants are: representatives of transport companies of Murmansk, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Murmansk region, Ltd. "AutoDor Consulting", MurmanskAvtoDor, SRTSI of the Murmansk region.
The round table discussion of issues on imposition of the sumptuary tax was held on 28th of February in Murmansk: relevance of imposition of this tax and means of its implementation
Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) in cooperation with Russian Management Community (RMC) and the Ministry of Economical Development of the Murmansk region organized this event. In Murmansk, regional branch of RMC is based on ANO "Arctic center". Series of round table discussions are currently held in 9 cities of Russia, another discussion of this cycle was carried out in Murmansk. This initiative aims at elaboration of a concept bill in a form of public debates by involving scientists, experts and mass media in different regions of the country. Lead speaker was well-known economist, the statesman Andrey Nechaev – the president of "Russian Finance Corporation" bank, the minister of economics in Russia in 1992 – 1993, Doctor of Economics.

The vice-minister of Economic development of the Murmansk region, Gorbunov V., the general director of Association "Murmanshelf", Straty G., the director of staff agency "Expert Personnel" of the North Chamber of Commerce, Bondareva G., and the general director of ANO "Arctic center", Buch O. attended the seminar.
